Israeli occupation forces and settlers today stormed the village of Jalboun, northeast of the northern West Bank city of Jenin, amidst the firing of stun grenades and toxic tear gas while the settlers went on a rampage in the village, forcing the village school to suspend classes. The head of Jalboun village council, Ibrahim Abu al-Rub, told WAFA that the occupation forces stormed the village and fired tear gas and sound bombs at people in the center of the village. He said the forces placed barbed wire and fired tear gas bombs at people and students coming to their school resulting in the suspension of the classes. Abu al-Rub said dozens of settlers from the illegal Merav settlement, built on village lands and adjacent to its homes, marched along the separation barrier, rampaging and shouting racist slogans against Arabs while performing religious rituals under the protection of the Israeli occupation army.
