Cairo: Social Solidarity Minister Maya Morsi received a report on Sunday, January 26, 2025, detailing the number of women who have applied for this year’s Ideal Mother Contest. The report reveals that 755 women from across the nation submitted their applications to participate in the competition.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the contest aims to honor two ideal natural mothers, one ideal mother of a child with a disability, and one ideal foster mother from each directorate. The selections will be finalized by a central committee meeting scheduled for February 10th, which will choose 27 ideal natural mothers, one mother of a child with a disability, and one ideal foster mother.
