Social Solidarity Minister Nevine el Kabbage hailed Saturday 01/10/2022 the ongoing fruitful cooperation with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, noting that a children’s criminal justice unit has been established to benefit from the international expertise in this regard.
El Kabbage’s comments came while attending a training session, held, in cooperation with the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, for the workers in the field of children’s justice.
Italian Ambassador to Egypt Michele Quaroni, the director of the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, along with representatives of the Public Prosecution and the Interior Ministry were also present during the training session.
The minister pointed out that the session came amid the Social Solidarity Ministry’s efforts to develop the children’s criminal justice in the line with Egypt Vision 2030 and the national strategy for human rights.
She highlighted the formation of a coordinating committee for criminal justice for children in Egypt in 2022 grouping representative from the Justice Ministry, the Public Prosecution, the National Council for Childhood & Motherhood, the Interior Ministry, the Foreign Ministry, the Education Ministry, the Supreme Council of Universities, and the Egyptian Foundation for Advancement of the Childhood Condition (EFACC).
