Cairo: Dr. Maya Morsi, Egypt’s Minister of Social Solidarity, recently hosted Mr. Tariq Ali, Qatar’s Ambassador to Egypt, along with his delegation, to deliberate on enhancing cooperation in various development sectors. The focus of the meeting was to strengthen the collaboration between Egypt’s Ministry of Social Solidarity, Qatar’s Charity Regulatory Authority, and Qatar Charity, targeting areas such as social welfare, orphan sponsorship, health, education, and economic empowerment.

According to State Information Service Egypt, the meeting also highlighted Qatar Charity’s global initiatives, which include operations in 70 countries with an annual budget of $400 million. Both parties expressed their eagerness to deepen collaboration to achieve sustainable development goals.

The session concluded with a mutual commitment to sharing expertise in civil society work and governance, as well as expanding bilateral cooperation in development projects. During their visit, the Qatari delegation plans to observe sev
