Social solidarity min., NACDW delegation discuss cooperation

Social Solidarity Minister Nivene el Qabbaj discussed with a delegation of the National Alliance for Civil Development Work (NACDW) means of boosting cooperation and coordination between the Ministry of Social Solidarity and the alliance in the coming period in light of the declaration of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi that 2022 is the year of civil society.

 

The meeting was attended by NACDW Secretary Noha Talaat Abdel Qawi and Ouhod Wafi, a member of the alliance and the deputy chairman of the board of trustees of the Haya Karima (Decent Life) Foundation.

 

During the meeting, the NACDW representatives reviewed the efforts exerted in the holy month of Ramadan within the first phase of “Wasl El Kheir” initiative that included presenting food, financial and medical support to the needy in all Egyptian governorates.

 

The meeting discussed the 2nd phase of the initiative which will be extended until the end of 2022 to contribute to improving the economic and social conditions of the most vulnerable segments of the society.

 

Qabbaj reviewed the strategy of her ministry in different domains including social protection programs and projects of economic empowerment.

 

She clarified the agenda of the ministry during the coming period to support civil society work in Egypt especially the integrated electronic platform for civil society services.

 

Qabbaj and the delegation expressed readiness to cooperate in the implementation of different developmental initiatives.

 

Both sides agreed on the importance of exchanging the database of the families benefiting from the programs of financial support of the ministry.
