Social Solidarity Minister Nevine el Qabbag and Gize Governor Ahmed Rashed are following up on the fire that erupted at an orphanage in Giza’s El Haram district on Friday’s morning.

Firefighters put out the blaze caused by a short circuit in a refrigerator on the ground floor of the seven-room orphanage.

According to a statement released by the Social Solidarity Ministry, Qabbag directed the ministry’s undersecretary in Giza to move the injured girls to El Haram hospital and provide all forms of support to them, as well as transferring the rest of the girls in the affected orphanage to another one.
