Congolese authorities hung a photo of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi at the entrance of the reception hall of Kinshasa International Airport.

Sisi’s photo, was displayed inside the airport next to that of President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo Felix Tshisekedi on the occasion of the convocation of ministerial meetings in preparation for the 2022 United Nations climate conference (COP27), to be held in Sharm El Sheikh in November.

“Egypt and DR Congo have had a good history together as partners in defending the interests of Africa,” Spokesman for the Foreign Ministry Ahmed Abo Zeid tweeted commenting on this friendly gesture.

Kinshasa hosted the ministerial meetings in preparation for the COP27 for two days with the participation of Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry.
