President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted the state is taking into consideration preserving national wealth while carrying out new projects in roads or other fields.
All road projects should skip agricultural lands and housing units to protect farmlands and real estate along with properties of citizens being part of the national wealth, added President Sisi in comments while inaugurating a number of national projects in Alexandria on Monday.
No roads can be constructed on agricultural lands, he affirmed.
The state is planning to meet the requirements of citizens in accordance with population growth rates and acting to change life of citizens for better especially in unplanned areas, the president said.
President Sisi ordered the establishment of a fund for maintenance in housing projects in order to ensure upgrading and overhaling housing apartments that serve large segments in society.
President Sisi also urged the interior minister to set up permanently-located police checkpoints in these areas to provide protection and security for its residents.
