Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Mohamed Awad Tag el Din asserted that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi managed the coronavirus crisis with wisdom and professionalism in cooperation with the health, social and financial institutions.
In a phone call with Extranews satellite channel Wednesday evening, Tag el Din said that Egypt is a great country, adding that its greatness comes from the human cadres that stand strongly with the country in the crises.
There are 152 pharmaceutical companies that contributed to pumping medicine, especially coronavirus medicines, and therefore “we did not suffer from shortage in medicine,” he said.
There is a surplus in the strategic reserve of medical supplies and medicines, he said.
In the past period, there was a high turnout in the vaccination centers to get the vaccine, especially after the state decisions denying access of unvaccinated employees and citizens to governmental authorities, Tag el Din added.
The country is still under the fourth wave of COVID 19 pandemic, he said, adding that the number of infections is slowly increasing.
