President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday inspected the workflow at some projects of axes and roads, as part of an overall plan aimed at developing the roads of Greater Cairo to face overpopulation and reduce traffic congestion, said Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmi.
The spokesman added the ongoing road projects in Giza include upgrading some of the existing axes and constructing new axes, with a total length of 177 km.
Those axes being built in Giza will contribute to easing traffic flow and curbing environmental pollution, as well as cutting fuel consumption and greenhouse gas emissions, the spokesman noted.
