President Abdel Fattah El Sisi inspected on Friday the workflow at new axes and road projects in east Cairo.During the tour, Sisi inspected the new axis parallel to the Cairo/Suez Road, which will connect the First Settlement and Cairo Airport through the new mass transit station, as well as the Sheraton housing areas and the Saaqa Road.

The new axis is planned as a new traffic artery linking the neighbourhoods and areas of East Cairo with the gatherings of New Cairo City, in a way that relieves pressure on the Cairo/Suez road, especially in Amal City, and helps to reduce time and distance.

Sisi also inspected the expansion works of the Ring Road from east Cairo to the Khosous district, as well as the executive position for the development of the Ain Shams area, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said in a statement following the tour.The president directed officials to abide by world-class standards in implementing those road projects and adhere to deadlines.
