President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday made a tour of Gharb Sohail village in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Aswan to follow up the upgrade of services there as part of the Decent Life Presidential Initiative to develop the Egyptian countryside.
President Sisi visited the village’s tourist market in order to encourage its youth to continue promoting tourism.
He commended the generosity and hospitality of the Nubian people, noting that the State and all its bodies are keen to fully provide basic services to Aswan city.
In the same regard, Sisi said work is underway in 52 cities in 20 governorates as part of the Decent Life Initiative, in addition to the Aswan city that has recently been listed under the initiative in accordance with President Sisi’s directives after his recent visit to West Aswan village.
The president visited the commercial market in Gharb Sohail village, where he met with a group of various shop owners.
He also held an open meeting with a group of Gharb Sohail locals to check on the village’s conditions. He then had lunch with them.
