President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Friday inspected development works at the eastern arch of the Ring Road to include eight lanes in each direction, said Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady.

The president also toured development works in new roads and axes surrounding Al-Asmrat district that will be connected to the Martyr Corridor and Shinzo Abe axis, the spokesman added.

Those new roads in Greater Cairo greatly contributed to easing traffic congestion, cutting the time of citizens’ daily trips and reducing car accidents’ rates, as well as saving fuel.

During his inspection tour, President Sisi directed officials concerned to accelerate the pace of work to finalize all new road projects on time in accordance with the latest technical and engineering standards.
