President Abdel Fattah El Sisi convened on Wednesday with Presidential Adviser for Health Affairs Dr Mohamed Tag-Eddin.
The talks tackled the executive status of several national health initiatives, especially the current situation of the coronavirus, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
Tag-Eddin referred to the noticeable decline in coronavirus cases in general, noting that most cases had mild symptoms.
President Sisi directed to proceed with the awareness programs as well as inoculation campaigns nationwide.
The president also reviewed the progress in the initiative for ending waiting lists of surgeries as well as the cancer initiative for women.
The talks also tackled the progress achieved in protection from polio as well as the national project for manufacturing and collecting plasma.
Sisi also reviewed the executive status of the pharmaceutical city.
