President Abdel Fattah El Sisi Wednesday asserted distinguished brotherly relations between Egypt and Algeria and Egypt’s aspiration for pushing forward bilateral cooperation at all levels, particularly the economic one, trade and investments through holding the upcoming session of the joint higher committee at the level of prime ministers as soon as possible.
During a phone call he received from his Algerian counterpart Abdelmadjid Tebboune, President Sisi expressed his appreciation of the Algerian leader’s visit to Egypt, Presidency Spokesman Bassam Radi said.
The Algerian president voiced gratitude for the great hospitality he received during his visit to Egypt which reflects distinguished relations between the two countries.
He underlined the need to intensify cooperation and coordination in all fields particularly the economic and security ones, Radi added.
The two leaders also tackled a number of regional issues of mutual concern, particularly the latest developments in Libya and the need to enhance Egyptian-Algerian coordination in this respect and support current efforts to reach security and stability in Libya and protect the country’s unity and sovereignty.
