President Abdel Fattah El Sisi met on Thursday 18/8/2022 with newly-appointed Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) Hassan Abdullah, who assumed his new post as per a presidential decree issued earlier in the day.

During the meeting, President Sisi directed Abdullah to develop monetary policies in line with global economic variables, as well as to work to provide various sources of foreign currencies.

Sisi also stressed the need to work on providing the appropriate climate for investment.
