Sisi, Bulgarian PM discuss cooperation in tourism, industry, agriculture

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi said on Friday Egypt is keen on fostering aspects of cooperation with Bulgaria in various fields, especially at the level of trade exchange, tourism, industry, and agriculture.

During his meeting with Bulgarian Prime Minister Kiril Petkov in Brussels, Sisi congratulated Petkov on assuming office in December, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady noted.

Petkov expressed his happiness for meeting Sisi, pointing to his country’s keenness to develop its relations with Egypt as a central pillar for stability and security in the Middle East and the Mediterranean.

The meeting tackled cooperation in the fields of defense, security, countering terrorism, and economy given that Egypt is the biggest trade partner for Bulgaria in Africa and the Middle East region.
