Prime Minister Mohammad Shtayyeh called today on the Australian government to recognize the State of Palestine on the 1967 borders based on the two-state solution. His call came as he received the Speaker of the Australian Parliament, Milton Dick, and a number of legislators, in the presence of the Australian Representative to Palestine, Edward Russell. Shtayyeh also called on Australia to urge Israel to allow Palestinian elections to be held in Jerusalem along with all the Palestinian territories, according to signed agreements.
