Shoukry affirms Egypt’s stance toward resolving conflicts by peaceful means

Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry asserted on Friday Egypt’s firm stance on resolving conflict by peaceful means and the importance of reaching a sustainable and comprehensive settlement through diplomatic means without using force.

Shoukry’s remarks came during his meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan on the sidelines of the 77th session of the General Assembly in New York, Foreign Ministry’s Spokesman Ahmed Abu Zeid said.

The meeting tackled ways of boosting trade and economic ties, valuing the role played by the two countries’ businessmen in pushing cooperation forward.

Abu Zeid pointed out that Shoukry listened to recent developments of tensions between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
