Sharjah Private Education Authority, Diglossia improve standardised tests in schools

SHARJAH: Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) and Diglossia signed a Memorandum of Understanding, on Wednesday, to exchange expertise and enhance mechanisms of joint cooperation in developing and implementing standardised tests for private schools, in the Emirate of Sharjah, which are supervised by the Authority.

The signing of the agreement was attended by Ali Al Hosani, Director of SPEA; Ms. Mimi Jett, CEO of Diglosia; a number of officials from the Authority, and representatives from Diglossia.

The terms of the agreement include the exchange of data, information and reports that contribute to achieving educational goals in Sharjah, as well as developing work mechanisms related to the exchange of such data and reports to ensure the enhancement of the joint educational system. The agreement is also an important step towards enhancing cooperation between parties concerned with the educational sector in the Emirate of Sharjah, which will positively reflect on the quality of education and the developmen
t of students’ capabilities in private schools.

Under the memorandum of understanding, SPEA shall facilitate communication with licensed schools and ensure that data related to these schools rea shared with Deglossia to facilitate the implementation of standardised tests.

It will also encourage schools to participate in these tests, which will contribute to raising the level of educational performance, while Deglossia will share with SPEA data and information related to the results and analysis of standardised tests conducted by schools, provided that Deglossia takes into account the preservation of intellectual property rights in accordance with the Federal Law of the United Arab Emirates No. 45 of 2021 regarding the protection of personal data. Deglossia will also ensure the reliability and integrity of the shared data and contribute to developing plans to improve school performance based on the results of these tests.
