Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, met with several presidents and ministers representing African countries during his participation in high-level activities that took place on the sidelines of the UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) at Expo City Dubai.
He held productive meetings and discussions, where he signed several Memorandums of Understanding and agreements in various fields, including education, food security, and cooperation in space exploration.
In addition to delivering a keynote speech at the opening ceremony of the Republic of Uganda’s pavilion at Expo City Dubai, he also attended an investment event in the African Green Industrialisation hosted by the governments of the UAE and Kenya, and the Alliance for Green Infrastructure in Africa hosted by African Development Bank Group.
Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan’s participation at COP28, and the meetings held with presidents and ministers from Africa, highlight the UAE’s commitment to further strengthening its
partnerships, and keenness on working with African nations to address their shared challenges and build a better and prosperous future for everyone.
