Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker commended the distinguished relations binding Egypt and Britain in several cooperation aspects in the vital energy generation sector.
Shaker’s remarks came during a meeting with British Ambassador in Cairo Gareth Bayley and a high-level delegation representing a number of British companies working in the energy domain.
The meeting took up ways of boosting cooperation with the Egyptian electricity and renewable energy sector and scaling up investment opportunities in the country.
Shaker commended the fruitful cooperation with a number of British companies in the sector’s projects in Egypt and said he is looking forward to upping the volume of cooperation.
The minister reviewed achievements made by the energy sector and pointed out to its greater interest in using renewable energy and reducing greenhouse emissions.
In turn, the British delegation commended reforms made by Egypt and the country’s accomplishments in the electricity sector.
It underscored the desire to increase cooperation aspects with Egypt in the areas of clean energy and green hydrogen.
