Seven persons nabbed for stealing 20 kilograms of gold in Minya

The Interior Ministry’s security apparatus successfully nabbed seven persons for their involvement along with two fugitives to steal 20 kilograms from a jewelry shop in the Upper Egyptian governorate of Minya.

Samalout Police Station, affiliated to the Minya Security Directorate, received a report from a jewelry shop owner that 20 kilograms of gold have been stolen from the shop.

Criminal investigators intensified their efforts and uncovered that 9 persons were involved in the crime.

Following intensified search measures, security bodies seized seven of the criminals with 7.5 kilograms of gold and amounts of money in their possession.

Legal measures were taken and public prosecution was notified to launch a probe, while police is still working to hunt down two fugitives.
