Settlers start work on settler-only road, fence off lands in Jordan Valley

JORDAN VALLEY: Israeli colonial settlers today started the groundwork for the construction of a settler-only road on Palestinian-owned lands in the northern Jordan Valley.

Aref Daraghmeh, a human rights activist, said that the a group of colonial settlers embarked on the constructing of a road located north of the illegal settlement of Shadmut Mikhola, illegally built on Palestinian-owned land in Jordan Valley.

Settlers also fenced off a tract of land a step often seen as a prelude to taking over it.

He said such step will take away 300 of dunums of Palestinian-owned lands in the area.
