Hardcore Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian civilians today and killed 10 of their sheep in an attack on Masafer Yatta region, to the southwest of Hebron in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources. WAFA correspondent said a group of army-guarded Israeli settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Mitzpe Yair, nearby, brutally assaulted Palestinian villagers and killed as many as 10 sheep. Rateb Jabour, a local Palestinian activist, told WAFA that the settlers also assaulted vulnerable Palestinian shepherds in the area, causing bruises to some of them. Masafer Yatta is a collection of about 19 Palestinian Bedouin hamlets relying heavily on animal husbandry as a source of living. The area has been a frequent target of almost daily attacks by Israeli occupation forces and settlers in order to make way for Israeli settlement construction and expansion.
