Senate Speaker Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq said Sunday that Egypt, under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, was able to achieve great progress in many fields in exceptional and difficult circumstances.

In a speech to mark the anniversary of the June 30 Revolution, Abdel Razeq said Sisi has worked for the progress of Egypt amid a fight against terrorism that was sponsored by foreign parties.

Egypt has waged a fierce war against terrorism and could eliminate it, said a proud Abdel Razeq.

President Sisi is still firmly acting to counter any acts of terror, the senate speaker added.
