Amman: President of the Senate Faisal Fayez met with Czech Ambassador Alexandr Sporys on Wednesday to discuss bilateral relations and the regional situation, emphasizing the strong ties between Jordan and the Czech Republic.
Fayez commended the high level of relations between the two countries, built on mutual respect and shared interests in political, economic, and parliamentary fields. He underscored Jordan’s commitment to further strengthening these relations and enhancing economic cooperation, calling for the activation of bilateral agreements across various sectors.
Addressing regional issues, Fayez reiterated Jordan’s firm stance, led by His Majesty King Abdullah II, on the necessity of establishing security and stability.
He emphasized that true stability in the region can only be achieved if the Israeli occupation of the Palestinian territories ends, advocating for a just and comprehensive peace based on the “two-state solution” and international legitimacy resolutions.

ng suffering of the Palestinian people under Israeli occupation, stressing that Israel’s continued aggressive policies will not lead to security and stability. He warned that stability can only be realized through Israel’s adherence to international resolutions and the establishment of a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
“The Israeli occupation has continued its heinous crimes against the Palestinian people for about 8 decades, and today, since October 7, it has been waging a war of massacre against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the occupied West Bank,” he stated.
Sporys praised King Abdullah’s efforts to resolve regional issues and promote just and comprehensive peace. He expressed his country’s commitment to strengthening its relationship with Jordan, particularly in enhancing economic and investment partnerships and fostering cooperation on shared concerns.
