Security update: Southern Lebanon under intense enemy airstrikes, artillery shelling; civilians flee amid escalation

Israeli enemy warplanes on Friday carried out airstrikes on several areas in southern Lebanon, including Tebna in the outskirts of Baysarieh in Zahrani region, while artillery shelling heavily targeted the outskirts of the southern villages of Chehhine, Jebbine, Dhaira, and Aita al-Shaab.

The enemy air force also struck the outskirts of Majadel and Toura, causing widespread destruction.

Meanwhile, Israeli reconnaissance and drone aircraft continued to hover over the skies of Tyre and Bint Jbeil districts, as the enemy launched flares overnight over border villages adjacent to the Blue Line. Heavy artillery shelling also hit the areas of Bint Jbeil, Tayr Harfa, Wadi al-Salouqi, and Baraachit, with inner neighborhoods of Blida, Aytaroun, Yaroun, and surrounding areas coming under intense fire.

Overnight, Israeli enemy warplanes bombed the southern Burj al-Shamali village near the Islah station, causing severe damage to nearby homes.

Strikes on Bayada, near an army outpost, resulted in several injuries, wit
h the wounded being rushed to hospitals in Tyre.

Residential areas in Masaken Shaabieh, Shaqra, and Majdal Zoun also came under attack, along with Dhaira and al-Bustan villages.

At dawn, Israeli enemy forces opened heavy machine-gun fire toward the al-Labouneh and al-Alam mountains in the western sector, while artillery fire struck the outskirts of Tayr Harfa and Aita al-Shaab.

The airspace over southern Lebanon remained dominated by enemy surveillance and warplanes throughout the night.

Fleeing civilians spoke to the National News Agency, recounting their ordeal as displacement from the villages south of the Litani River continued.

Many described the high costs of basic supplies and rent, with some unable to find shelter in the state-assigned centers, adding to the strain of their evacuation.
