The Security Council on Thursday unanimously decided to renew the mandate of the United Nations Disengagement Observer Force (UNDOF) in the Golan for six months. The Security Council requested the Secretary-General to ensure that the UNDOF has the capacity and resources needed to fulfil its mandate in a safe and secure manner. Resolution No. (2689) called on the concerned parties to immediately implement Resolution No. (338) of October 22, 1973.
