SHARJAH: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Deputy Chairman of the Executive Council, presided over the weekly meeting of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), on Tuesday, at the Ruler’s Office.
The agenda covered various subjects related to executing government tasks in the emirate, enhancing different services, and monitoring progress in carrying out development projects across different sectors.
The Council has decided to establish a medical committee for home nursing services in Sharjah.
The committee will be chaired by Dr. Maryam Issa Al Ali and include members Dr. Mahdi Habib Al Aboudi, Dr. Sadiq Abdulrahman Qadri, Dr. Ahlam Mohammed Abdullah Al Marzouqi, Jawaher Butti Al Khayal, Marzouq Mansour Al Taharwa, and Kholoud Abdullah Ahmed Al Ali.
The Council reviewed the report on the Housing Department’s participation in the second edition of the Gulf Housing Week, which took place in Doha, Qatar.
The review highlighted the department’s initiatives, key housin
g projects, and significant accomplishments in striving for sustainable housing that fulfills the needs of Emirati families. Additionally, the council assessed the latest practices in the Gulf and considered the forum’s recommendations, particularly those aimed at invigorating the real estate sector through knowledge exchange and collaboration among the Gulf Cooperation Council member countries.
The Council has examined the report on the Kalba mangrove reserve’s inclusion in the memorandum of understanding for preserving sea turtles and their habitats in the Indian Ocean and Southeast Asia. This move aligns with the emirate’s significant efforts to support environmental initiatives, conserve biodiversity, protect wildlife, and manage natural reserves. Notably, the Kalba mangrove Reserve is the second location in the emirate to be included in the memorandum, following the Sir Bu Nair Island Reserve.
