Chairman of the General Authority for the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) Walid Gamal El-Din met with officials from 30 companies, members of the French Employers Federation (MEDEF), at the conclusion of his promotional tour aimed at attracting French investments.

Gamal El-Din reviewed available investment opportunities in the fields of renewable energy, emphasizing the extensive efforts being made to localize the green hydrogen industry and expand complementary industries, the SCZone said in a statement.

Additionally, the SCZone chairman held several meetings with officials from John Cockerill, a leading company in the production of high-capacity electrolyzers for hydrogen generation, as well as with Alstom to discuss its strategic project for manufacturing rolling stock (metro, electric trains, and trams). Alstom’s project aims to establish a factory for electrical components and wiring harnesses designated for export.

Gamal El-Din also met with representatives of Bureau Veritas, one of the world’s lea

He affirmed SCZone’s interest in cooperating with Bureau Veritas to assist investors in boosting their exports, especially to European countries.
