Head of the Supreme Constitutional Court (SCC) Saeed Marei affirmed that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s support for the judiciary to confirm its independence, and non-interference in its affairs is a widely acknowledged matter.

Speaking during a ceremony marking the Egyptian Judiciary Day in the presence of Sisi, the SCC chief said the president has been the first person to declare October, 1 as the Egyptian Judiciary Day in appreciation for the Egyptian judiciary.

He paid tribute to him for advocating women rights and making it a point to enable women to assume posts at the State Council and Public Prosecution bodies.

The Egyptian State Lawsuits Authority and the Administrative Prosecution Authority have now appointed Egyptian women, Marei said.

He added that women have become judges, adjudicating criminal, commercial, family and various types of civil cases

The head of the Supreme Constitutional Court said President Sisi was interested not only in developing the national infrastructure, but also in promoting technological development in all parts of the country.

He said President Sisi is loyal to his country and has the ability to feel the problems of the people and seek radical solutions for them, praising the firm strategy he has adopted in handling national political and economic issues.

He added that the president carried out mega national projects in various domains, noting that Sisi is an example of a leader who is keen on entrenching the values of loyalty, hard work and devotion to the nation.

He said people’s love to the president is the real guarantee for the continuation of the new republic and the national development march.
