The Suez Canal Authority (SCA) organized on Tuesday 9/11/2021 a symposium titled “SCA affiliated companies – A Launchpad for the Future,” as part of the authority’s program of activities in the Egyptian pavilion at Expo 2020 Dubai.

The event sought to highlight the active role played by the SCA’s nine companies to promote the national economy and create an environment conducive to attracting local as well as foreign investments.

The event also showcased the various kinds of products and services offered by these companies, including maritime and industrial operations, civil service, infrastructure, and food industries.

It also included a presentation about the history of these companies, beginning with Suez Shipyard, founded in 1982, as well as the investment opportunities they offer.

Other SCA affiliates include Port Said Engineering Works Co., Timsah Ship Building Company, the Canal Company for Mooring and Lights, the Canal Naval Construction Co., the Canal Company for Ropes Natural & Synthetic Fibre Products, and the Canal Company for Ports and Major Projects.

In addition, the Suez Canal Fish Farming and Aquaculture Company and the Suez Canal Company for Healthy Food Industries have recently been established to contribute to national food security.
