Cairo: The Supreme Council of Antiquities (SCA) is actively engaged in translating and publishing the pamphlets of the Arab Antiquities Preservation Committee, a key scientific reference for documenting Arab and Islamic antiquities in Egypt from the 19th and 20th centuries.
According to State Information Service Egypt, Minister of Tourism and Antiquities Sherif Fathy highlighted the project’s significance as part of the Ministry’s strategy for digital transformation. This initiative aims to support academic research and ensure the preservation of historical and scientific documents, protecting them from damage or loss.
Mohamed Ismail Khaled, Secretary General of the Supreme Council of Antiquities, stated that the project aligns with the council’s commitment to broadening access to its scientific resources. The digital transformation effort is not only expected to benefit researchers but also contribute to sustainability by reducing paper usage, thereby positively impacting the environment.
