ABU DHABI: Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), held separate meetings with Jamal Al Ghunaim, Ambassador of Kuwait to the UAE; Sharif Eissa, Ambassador of Egypt to the UAE, and Dr. Mudhaffar Mustafa Al-Jubouri, Ambassador of Iraq to the UAE, at the FNC headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
The meetings discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various fields, particularly the activation of parliamentary cooperation between the FNC and the parliaments of these countries. They also emphasised the importance of exchanging parliamentary visits and experiences, and enhancing coordination and consultations on various issues of mutual concern.
Ghobash noted that the FNC makes tireless efforts to advance bilateral relations with their countries across all sectors, in addition to seeking to boost parliamentary cooperation.
For their part, the ambassadors congratulated the FNC Speaker on his re-election, wishing further progress and prosperity for the UAE.

A complaint filed by the Independent High Authority for Elections (ISIE) against Jawher Ben Mbarek has been referred to the Tunis Court of First Instance, defence lawyers for the defendants in the conspiracy against state security case said in a statement on Wednesday evening.
The case of Ben Mbarek, who has been under arrest for months in the case of conspiracy against state security, has been referred to the court by the public prosecutor in the above court for comments he made on television, they added.
He will be prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of Decree 54 of 2022 on combating crimes related to information and communication systems.
The defence lawyers also said that the Tunis Court of First Instance had closed the investigation in the case of the complaint filed by the Minister of Justice against politician and lawyer Ghazi Chaouachi.
The judge decided to refer Chaouachi to the Indictment Chamber of the Tunis Court of Appeal under Decree No. 2022-54, according to the same statement.
