ABU DHABI: H.H. Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, met with officials and leaders from UN peace operations attending the third UN Police Chiefs’ Performance in Peacekeeping Operations Workshop.
The UAE is hosting the event for the third consecutive time, reflecting its ongoing commitment to supporting international police collaboration.
During the meeting, H.H. discussed with participants the crucial role of UN peace operations in promoting global peace and community security, emphasizing the importance of bolstering their humanitarian efforts.
The meeting was also attended by Jean-Pierre Lacroix, Under-Secretary-General for UN Peace Operations, Lt. General Faisal Shahkar, Police Advisor of the United Nations Police, as well as Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Interior, and several officers from the Ministry of Interior and the Police General HQs of the UAE.
