SEOUL: South Korea’s exports of information and communication technology (ICT) products soared almost 34 percent in April, logging the sixth consecutive month of increase, on robust global demand, Yonhap News Agency reported on Wednesday.

Outbound shipments of ICT products came to US$17.08 billion last month, up 33.8 percent from $12.77 billion a year earlier, according to data compiled by the Ministry of Science and ICT.

The country’s ICT imports increased 10.4 percent on-year to $11.56 billion, resulting in a trade surplus of $5.52 billion in the sector.
