Russia says imprisoned soldiers repatriated following negotiations with Ukraine

The Russian Ministry of Defence announced Friday that 45 Russian soldiers returned to Russia after they were prisoners of the Ukranian army following an exchange of prisoners negotiations with Kyiv. The Russian Foreign Defence Ministry stated in a press statement: “45 Russian soldiers have returned to their homeland from captivity, where they are receiving the necessary medical and psychological assistance.” The statement added, “The soldiers were in mortal danger in captivity, and in the near future, they will be transferred to the medical institutions of the Russian Defence Ministry for treatment and rehabilitation.”
