The Royal Jordanian Air Force (RJAF) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), on the sidelines of the Special Operations Forces Exhibition and Conference SOFEX 2024 in the city of Aqaba.
Under the agreement, JODDB provides training courses for the RJAF, aimed to qualify the Jordanian airforce to participate in local and international competitions in the cybersecurity field.
The RJAF will also engage in specialized events in the technology sector locally and globally, in a bid to raise its personnel’s awareness of various information technology areas.
Speaking at the signing ceremony, JODDB’s official spokesperson, Rateb Abu Ragheb, stated that the center has the “necessary” competencies and cyber environment to establish these partnerships and training courses, to raise the trainees’ efficiency and provide the adequate knowledge to keep pace with modern information technology in the cybersecurity domain.
In 2019, the center established JODDB Cyber Secur
ity Academy (Cyber Shield) to keep pace with the rapid development in this sector and provide Jordan’s institutions with specialized courses in the cybersecurity and encryption fields, grasp digital evidence investigations, information network security, and spread awareness of technological uses in the Kingdom.
