A number of the association’s department directors participated in the opening and followed up on the preparations, headed by Dr. Haider Al-Qudra, the association’s executive director in the southern governorates, who confirmed after a tour he made in the camp and listening closely to a number of families there, that this camp will accommodate 100 families with various disabilities, and will provide all the needs related to the type of disability for the camp’s residents. A specialized team affiliated with the association will also supervise the provision of relief, health care, rehabilitation and psychological support programs for all families in the camp.

It is worth noting that the organization of this shelter camp, which is the first of its kind dedicated to people with disabilities, c
omes within the framework of the association’s cooperation and joint coordination with various bodies to provide assistance to people with disabilities, enhance their steadfastness and alleviate their suffering, especially in light of the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip
