H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, today received Grand Duke Henri of Luxembourg, who is currently heading a high-level delegation on an official visit to the UAE.
The Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah welcomed the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and his accompanying delegation, which includes Robert Michel Lauer, Ambassador of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg to the UAE, and they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in various developmental, economic and investment fields to serve the interests of their countries and their peoples.
Sheikh Saud and Grand Duke Henri reviewed global efforts to combat climate change, with the UN Climate Change Conference (COP28) currently underway in Expo City Dubai.
Riding in the Rabdan One, the UAE’s first eco-friendly electric car ‘Made in Abu Dhabi’, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah then took the Grand Duke of Luxembourg on a tour, which included the bee reserve in Wadi Bih, where the delegation was briefed on honey production o
perations in the mountainous areas of Ras Al Khaimah.
Sheikh Saud, accompanied by Grand Duke Henri, also joined a number of Ras Al Khaimah school students in planting mangrove trees at the Anantara Mina Al Arab Resort.
For his part, the Grand Duke of Luxembourg expressed his appreciation for Sheikh Saud’s warm hospitality, commending the regional and global status that the UAE has achieved.
