Public sector operations surge to LE59.4B in a year

The Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) data revealed a 36.1 percent annual increase in the value of operations carried out by public sector companies during the fiscal year 2021-2022.

According to a statement issued, Sunday, the total value of operations conducted by public sector companies reached LE 59.4 billion in the fiscal year 2021/2022, compared to LE 43.6 billion in the fiscal year 2020/2021.

The total value of executed roads, bridges, and tunnels amounted to LE 24.1 billion in the fiscal year 2021-2022, compared to LE 17.0 billion in the fiscal year 2020/2021, representing an increase of 42.2 percent.

The total value of executed power stations and networks reached LE 1.2 billion in the fiscal year 2021/2022, compared to 0.7 billion Egyptian pounds in the fiscal year 2020-2021, with an increase of 86.5 percent.

Additionally, the total value of executed educational buildings was LE 1.2 billion in the fiscal year 2021/2022, compared to LE 1.0 billion in the fiscal year 2
020/2021, indicating a 13.4 percent increase.
