Protests and marches in the West Bank denouncing the war on the Gaza Strip


Governorates – Ma’an – Palestinian citizens in the West Bank condemned, on Monday, the war of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

This came during protests and marches organized at the invitation of Palestinian factions and activists in cities and towns in the West Bank on the occasion of the first anniversary of the war.

In the city of Ramallah, a march set off from Al-Manara Square in the center of the city, with the participation of hundreds, and passed through several streets.

The participants raised Palestinian flags, banners denouncing the war of extermination, and chanted slogans denouncing Israel.

“Today we stand together in the face of the occupation and the Israeli war of extermination in the Gaza Strip and the West Bank,” Khairi Hanoun, an activist in the resistance to the occupation, told Anadolu Agency on the sidelines of the march.

He added, “We tell the occupation that we will remain and that you will not be able to break the will of our people, their resistance and their popular support.”

Hanoun
called for broader participation in confronting the occupation.

Similar protests and marches were also organized in the cities of Hebron, Bethlehem, Nablus, Jenin, Tulkarm, Qalqilya, and Jericho.

On Monday, the Israeli army imposed a comprehensive closure on the West Bank, including the crossings, and is intensifying the deployment of its forces throughout the West Bank and on all fronts, in anticipation of any events coinciding with the first anniversary of the start of the genocidal war in Gaza.

On Monday morning, an Israeli military force killed the elderly Palestinian Ziad Abu Halil (66 years old) in the town of Dura in the southern West Bank after he was severely beaten inside his home, according to the Ministry of Health, his family and local sources.

In Qalandia refugee camp, Israel killed the child Hatem Ghaith (12 years old), bringing the number of Palestinian dead in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, since the start of the genocidal war in Gaza on October 7, 2023 to 744, in addition to ab
out 6,200 wounded and about 11,100 detainees, according to official Palestinian data.

The Israeli war of extermination, with absolute American support, in Gaza resulted in more than 139,000 Palestinian martyrs and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 10,000 missing, amidst massive destruction and famine that killed dozens of children and elderly people, in one of the worst humanitarian disasters in the world.
