President of the Jordanian Olympic Committee and member of the Executive Office of the International Olympic Committee (IOC), Prince Faisal bin Al Hussein attended the U-20 World Wrestling Championship and crowned the champions of weights under 60 kg, 67 kg, 72 kg, 82 kg and 97 kg for men’s Roman wrestling. The Jordanian Wrestling Federation hosted the championship for 7 days in the Princess Sumaya Hall in Al-Hussein City for Youth. More than 1,200 male and female participants, representing 63 countries, participated in the tournament, competing for 120 medals distributed in 3 disciplines: men’s freestyle wrestling, men’s Romanian wrestling, and women’s freestyle wrestling. The final day of the tournament witnessed the finals of the Romanian wrestling for men. The Jordanian Wrestling Federation honoured His Highness Prince Faisal in appreciation of his efforts to make the championship a success.
