The British Crown Prince Charles Windsor and his wife Camilla Parker, the Duchess of Cornwall, on Friday paid a tour of the Jesuit Cultural Center in Alexandria.
During the visit, they received the Egyptian Ankh as a souvenir gift.
They then toured the center’s church where its sacristan briefed them on its history, societal and religious role.
The royal couple also visited the Alexandrian portrait exhibition that shows the history of figures with Alexandrian roots such as Hind Rostom and Tawfiq Al-Hakim.
Duchess Camilla attended a panel discussion with children trained in screenwriting and watched a video of their workshops and training programs.
Prince Charles and his Duchess Camilla arrived in Cairo Thursday on their first visit to Egypt since 2006.
