Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly witnessed, today, the signing of a framework agreement between Egyptair and China State Construction Engineering Corporation Ltd (CSCEC) – Egypt to develop Cairo International Airport (CAI), on the sidelines of the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation attended by Madbouly on behalf of President El-Sisi.
The signing ceremony was attended by Prime Minister Madbouly, Minister of Civil Aviation Mohamed Abbas Helmy, and CSCEC CEO Zhang Xiuchuan.
This framework agreement aims to develop Cairo International Airport for the purpose of establishing an international hub airport to contain the increased air traffic rates in the region and develop the tourism and aviation sectors in Egypt. This project aims to implement various objectives that reflect on the path for sustainable development and achieve its future requirements.
