President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received on Tuesday 17/10/2023a phone call from Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida.
The Spokesman for the Presidency said the call focused on developments pertinent to the military escalation in the Gaza Strip. The two sides stressed the importance of taking into consideration the serious humanitarian consequences of armed confrontations on civilian lives, as well as their impact on security and political repercussions on the entire region.
The President also stressed that Egypt continues its efforts to coordinate regional and international efforts to urge the parties to adopt the path of calm and to deliver humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, in order to spare the Palestinian people further human suffering.
