President Mahmoud Abbas received today the Director of the Egyptian General Intelligence Directorate, Major General Abbas Kamel, at his residence in the Egyptian coastal city of El-Alamein. During the meeting, the President thanked the Arab Republic of Egypt for hosting the meeting of the heads of the Palestinian factions, expressing his appreciation for the efforts made by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to make this meeting a success. The President briefed Egypt’s intelligence chief on the latest developments related to the Palestinian cause, especially in view of the continued Israeli violations against our people, our land and sanctities. He expressed his commitment to the success of the meeting of the heads of Palestinian factions and the achievement of national unity to face the robust challenges that the Palestinian cause is going through.
