DOHA: President of the State of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas received on Wednesday, at his residence in the Qatari capital of Doha, Abdul Salam Haniyeh and Humam Haniyeh, the sons of the late national leader Ismail Haniyeh, the former head of Hamas’ political bureau.
President Abbas offered his condolences to the sons of the late national leader, recalling his virtues in the Palestinian national struggle, stressing that the Palestinian people will obtain their full legitimate rights to freedom and independence, no matter how many crimes and attacks the Israeli occupation commits against Palestinian people, their land and holy sites.
The President stressed that Palestinian people will remain united in confronting the Israeli occupation and sweeping it from their land, to embody the establishment of their independent Palestinian state with Jerusalem as its capital.
President Abbas arrived yesterday in Doha to participate in the third summit of the Asia Cooperation Dialogue.
The President was invited by the Emir
of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, to participate in the summit that kicked off on October 1 and will conclude on October 3.
