RAMALLAH: President Mahmoud Abbas declared today a day of mourning in protest of the assassination of Hamas political bureau chairman, Ismail Haniyeh.
The president ordered that flags be flown at half-mast in official Palestinian institutions in the West Bank governorates.
Earlier today, the President called on the Palestinian people to unite, be patient and steadfast in the face of the Israeli occupation.
